Other than English, French is the only language spoken in five continents.  From Africa to the Pacific, from Montreal to New Orleans, from Gabon to Dakar, from Paris to Tangiers, French is not only one of the 6 official languages of the United Nations and Nato, but the linguistic home of Voltaire and Rousseau, Marguerite de Navarre and Marguerite Duras, Baudelaire and Breton, Sembène Ousmane and Xavier Dolan.

French Tutoring at Bard

French Tutoring at Bard

From the Tutors

During the French tutorials, we emphasize communicative skills. It is an opportunity for students to practice their French in small groups. The tutoring sessions are designed to give students the chance to talk and ask any questions they might have. We work on what the students have learned in class with their professors, but in a playful way! We play games to practice grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary in a friendly environment.
