The Bard Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) Community Action Awards support student efforts to engage with communities locally, nationally, and internationally by providing funding for participation in internships that address issues impacting people around the world.

Anna Hirson-Sagalyn '15 is interning in Port-Royal des Champs, France. She's working at a historical site originally founded in 1204 and it now hosts the organization ATHENA, which seeks to preserve the memory of a place of great cultural significance. The goal is to provide a cultural haven to the underprivileged communities surrounding the site.
